Season ticket holder op-ed: Phil Anderson

PHIL ANDERSON, UTAH WARRIORS SEASON TICKET HOLDER —I am a proud Utah Warriors season ticket holder and fan. I have never been disappointed in the value I received watching my team play this game that the world loves. There have been some games where I sure wish we won, BUT there never was one that wasn’t exciting. We took some friends that were new to rugby, and they loved it so much they became season ticket holders the next game. This was even before they fully understood all of the rules, which is very easy to learn. I have found that the experience of watching a Utah Warriors game is a brilliant display of talent, strength, grit, strategy and the highest level of sportsmanship. One thing that makes rugby one of the world’s most popular games is the speed at which it is played—it is simply 80-minutes of excitement. Come to one game, and I promise you’ll be hooked. We are so lucky to have access to professional rugby in Utah. I have seen the best teams in the world play many times in different countries, and the excitement of a Utah Warriors game matches everything I have felt at those games. Also, to think that our head coach, Chris Latham, is literally one of the best players in the history of the game should speak to the long-term commitment the Warriors have made to Utah.I have found that it is also a time for my family to bond and just be together, doing something we all love. I am convinced that the Utah Warriors will become THE TOP professional rugby team in the United States, in large part because we already have the best fans in the country! "I was able to bring my family to three games. It was a lot of fun for all the kids, my wife, and myself. The atmosphere is very family-friendly for even my youngest kids. I had 4 children attend the pregame Jr. Warriors clinics on 2 separate occasions; they had a lot of fun with those experiences and it was a very positive and encouraging environment."
