Meet Sebastian Pearson.
A former professional rugby player in England and a proud representative of the Canadian National Team, Sebastian Pearson has cultivated a distinguished career in strength and conditioning.
His expertise has been shaped by impactful coaching roles at North Dakota State University, Southern University, and Weber State. Notably, he served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Canadian National Senior Men's Rugby 7s team for three years, helping to elevate the team’s performance on the international stage.
Now, as the Director of Athletic Performance for the Utah Warriors, Coach Pearson brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of athletic development to his leadership role.
All members of the program will first be run through an athlete profiling analysis in our Warrior Science Lab to set your baseline before beginning the program, then again at the beginning of every new month.
The baseline analysis is derived from two profiles:
The Counter Movement Jump and the Isometric Mid Thigh Pull.
With this analysis, we can find the baseline of strength and power in each athlete. All CMJ and isometric mid thigh pull metrics can be compared to create a dynamic strength index score to bucket them into either balanced, force deficient, or Velocity deficient buckets.
Optional Advanced Profiling can also include the following:
Squat jump to measure force and power
Drop jump to measure elasticity
Isometric hamstring bridge and Isometric seated calf raise specifically to screen for injury.
